Day 85: Learning to Celebrate 🎉
It's not just about the big stuff
The Blindspot of Growth
In the final stretch of a challenge, it’s incredibly easy to minimize your own progress because your eyes are already fixed on the next horizon. Or worse, we look sideways, comparing ourselves to others and feeling suddenly, deeply behind. We get so hyper-focused on the ultimate destination that we blow right past the massive milestones we’ve already cleared.
If you are currently trying to unload the chronic pressure of your own life, I want you to look back at where you stood 85 days ago:
Are you pausing a split second longer before reacting to chaos? That is a win.
Did you choose a boundary today that the old version of you would have negotiated away? That is a win.
Are you treating your past as just data instead of a life sentence? That is a massive win.
(And if there hasn’t been a big change, what are you open to shifting?)
For me, I tend to get stuck in the minutia of thinking: this change isn’t BIG enough, or it isn’t noticeable to others yet.
But during a conversation with my personal trainer this week, I had a hefty realization. I have come a LONG way—not just in these last 85 days, but over the past few years. I have done the heavy, quiet work of slowly building tiny habits, and they have STUCK! They are now simply a part of who I am; they don’t even feel like a challenge anymore.
Right now, this latest phase can still feel a bit clunky as I figure out a simple, sustainable food plan. It isn’t fully locked in yet, but it feels less clumsy every day, and I now believe I will get there.
The happiest realization of all? I used to get “OFF” track for weeks or even months at a time. Now? It’s just days before I align myself again. That shift is really something to acknowledge and celebrate. Yay me!~~✨
Pouring the Cement of the New Foundation
Celebrating your wins isn’t about bragging; it’s about signaling to your nervous system that you are safe enough to thrive. It is the literal cement that locks your new baseline/identity into place.
Take a look at your own path today. What is one area of growth you’ve been ignoring? Claim it, celebrate it, and let it fuel your “new next”….
P.S. I am also SUPER CELEBRATING that I have consistently posted about this project for three solid months. "Creating and shipping" used to be a massive hurdle for me. But looking back at the track record I’ve built over the last 85 days, I have proof. I KNOW I can do it.~;-)

Glad you liked this post Leo, and I am really doubling down on my celebrations.
Yay:
+ I took a shower
+ I finished the yardwork
+ I started a project
+ I didn’t finish the paperwork
Anything and everything—for now!~🎉
