Day 7/90 - Summerđď¸Camp
Challenges and Celebrations~
Today marks Day 7 of a new 90-day experiment, and the summer camp vibes are officially here.
The baseline momentum is feeling solid: the workouts are locked in, the daily dead hangs (with feet still touching) are happening, and keeping the food simple has been a total game-changer. But a summer camp isnât just about checking off the easy wins; itâs about testing new environments and looking at things in a new way.
Which brings me to my two latest Camp Challenges + a Celebration! âľď¸
Challenge #1: The Hushed Kitchen đ¤Ť
With some medium to heavy resistance, I tried a 48 hour experiment. I completely âhushedâ the kitchen counters. That meant everything off the counters. Every. Single. Thing. The result? A smashing success for both me and my husband. The visual quiet is incredible. I truly did not expect such a big impact. My sis joined in too & loved it!~
Did anything get put back after the 48 hours? Yes, 1 thingâcan you guess?
The coffee maker. ;-)
This was before I had âhushedâ my fridge, which I also really resisted but now adore it all cleared off!
Challenge #2: The Container Paradox đŚ
I havenât accomplished this challenge yet so stayed tuned for next weekâs results.
On the flip side, Iâve been looking at the rest of our spaces and noticed something hilarious:
The wildest thing is having space filled up by EMPTY bins and bags⌠For some reason, this has been the hardest thing for me to declutter⌠Or let go of⌠I wonder why this is??
The takeaway? Why do we hold onto the containers of our lives? Maybe we save the bins for a future version of ourselves that has âmore stuff to organize,â or that we need to have everything labeled in a bin for it to have âa homeâ. Still ponderingâŚ
For the next 90 days, the goal isnât perfection. Itâs about clearing out the literal and metaphorical empty containers, hanging out (literally, on the bar), and seeing what happens when we let things be quiet and simple.
Who else is trying to âhushâ their spaces this summer? đââď¸
Celebration #3: What, I already did it all??
On Friday, my husband had the morning off and we were going to head to the gym. When I came out of our room, I saw he was on his Zwift trainer. So the plan had changed. ;-0
I looked at my training app to see what workout I needed to complete and I was truly SHOCKED that they had all been done!!! Woo hoo! đ That has never happened before AND I was even a bit bummed. đ But I spent the time wisely, no I didnât go back to bed until the sun came up. Instead, I spent an hour on my Block Therapy realignment practice and felt AMAZING afterwards. What a way to start the day and I plan to have that be my new Friday AM workout from here on out!
Anyone else enjoying some Summer Camp Challenges? Or Celebrations!đ
Open to give âhushingâ a try??

The process is working. The counter just needed the espresso maker
