Day 64: When the “Hard Part” Becomes Easy
The Shifts Just Keep on Coming!~
Not Gonna Do It!
In the past, the idea of “tracking intake” or “hitting protein targets” felt like another mountain I didn’t have the energy to climb. I assumed it would be tedious, restrictive, and just plain hard.
I was wrong.
This week, I realized that tracking isn’t a chore; it’s just data. And surprisingly, hitting my WFPB protein targets has been seamless.
The Shift from Friction to Flow
What changed? It wasn’t that the math got easier, it’s that my resistance is waning. When you stop fighting your identity, you stop fighting the tools that support it.
Protein: By leaning into my WFPB staples, I’m hitting my numbers without the “struggle” I anticipated.
Simplicity: By keeping my meals really simple, I am able to just repost the day before with a few tweaks and it feels so easy!!
Tracking: It’s no longer about “policing” myself; it’s about informing myself. It’s the “Steel Thread” that keeps my daily choices aligned with my 90-day breakthrough.
The Takeaway
We often build up “the work” to be much scarier than it actually is. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the habit itself, it’s just the decision to do it when you really don’t want to.
I’m 64 days in, the foundation is solid, and I’m amazed that the “hard parts” are beginning to feel like second nature!~
